As professional motorcycle riders John Stotts and Rick Steimer have
the entire winter to rest from the motorcycle and since they love snowboarding...
they combined both disciplines and one day while up at the Ski resort
they saw 2 guys on Skibikes... John thought to himself...that thing
looks stupid and is way too close to the ground...your center of gravity
and you balance is effected by being way too low. So they set off to
try a design more like what a regular bicycle is on the ground. and
you know what??? it performs in the snow JUST like a regular bike...well
since the skis are the same width as a tire and your center of gravity
is up high like your own bike is...they made about 5 protoypes and have
tested them all, and have come up with a system to ride in the snow!
John is 40 years old and this skibike is so easy compared to skiing...and
with his full suspension mountin bike adapted to a skibike...well...that
is like a cadillac in the snow!
Those skibikes that they saw on the slopes were $1600.00 each! I can't afford that...so now we have Kits that are from $249.00 - $599.00 and you adapt them ON TO YOUR BIKE!
